Bespoke Wedding Suits – London

Traditionally, when it comes to weddings, it is the bride and her dress that gets most of the attention. This is because, generally speaking, a wedding dress is like no other dress that the bride will ever wear, whereas the groom’s suit, even if it’s a pretty special one, is still just a suit, and very often not a million miles from the suit he might wear every day to work. At The Bespoke Tailor, however, we believe that the groom has just as much right to stand out in something spectacular as the bride does. This is why we work so hard to make sure that grooms — and their groomsmen if required — have suits that are every bit as special and unique as the wedding as a whole.

The unmistakable impact of a bespoke wedding suit…

Having a suit created especially for you will make you look and feel a million times better than rocking up in an off-the-peg creation. A bespoke suit is something that has been individually designed to reflect your personality. The fabric has been chosen, cut and styled with you, your body shape and the specific statement that you wish to make firmly in mind.

As a tailor, there is no greater joy for me than enabling men to express themselves fully through their wedding suit and giving them the opportunity to feel special and wholly individual, making the greatest possible impact on what is hopefully for you, as much as your bride, one of the greatest and most memorable days of your life.

Narrowing down the choice…

Usually the first thing you do — once you’ve actually set the date for your wedding — is start looking online and maybe scouring wedding magazines for an idea of what kind of suits are available. With the heightened interest in men’s fashion that we’ve seen in recent years, however, and the much wider choice of wedding suits available, it’s easy to end up more confused than you were when you started your search.

In order to start narrowing down the choice, there are various things you need to take into consideration, including individual taste and the overall style of your wedding — will there be a theme? What time of year are you getting married? What time of day?

When considering how your wedding will look and the visual style into which your suit will have to fit, think about how the bride’s gown will be (as much as you’re allowed to find out), the location of the wedding and any theme that you’ve decided on, such as vintage, rustic, festival, punk or what-have-you. Then consider the different styles of suit available…

Different suit styles to choose from…

Depending on the formality of the day and when your wedding will take place, you may decide to opt for either traditional morning suit, top hat and tails, a tuxedo, a stroller jacket, a dinner jacket or something altogether more modelled to your own individual sense of style.
